Smart phones tout IBM solutions to monitor pollution
Sensor-equipped smart phones will be hitching a ride on the unmanned solar-powered vehicles that are taking part in the VisLab Intercontinental Autonomous Challenge (VIAC). The smart phones are loaded with IBM 's Human Centric solutions to collect data on CO 2 pollutants in the regions covered by the 13,000km journey from Parma, Italy to Shanghai, China.
